As well the mules, cows, sheep and goats you would expect to encounter in a rural community, you'll be making friends with the animals that live in the Pure Mountains' farmhouse.

Dog-wise, we have Lucy and Jimmy, who are Large Munsterlanders - think giant spaniels - and half brother and sister. They are very affectionate pooches and love meeting people. The two of them make special friends with guests who come on holiday on their own. They're not allowed in the guest rooms, but they are at large in the rest of the house and come out biking with the group each day. If you like dogs, you'll love these two.

We also have two cats, Prima and Zorro, who are more elusive but may make an appearance during your stay. Again, they're not allowed in guest rooms, but if you're allergic to cats you'll need to bring your remedies with you.
