Tim and Jenny from Pure Mountains slogged it out for (almost) 24 hours in Madrid and they won!

The new Pure Mountains T shirts are now on sale and they're rather good, though we do say so ourselves. They make a great souvenir of your bike holiday, or an ideal present for your beloveds (better by far than airport shop tat).

Flights between Northern Europe and Spain are still badly disrupted, although Spanish airports are open, ready and waiting. Of the guests who left Pure Mountains today, after their holiday here, some are heading to French channel ports by bus and others are extending their stay in Andalucía before flying back to the UK early next week.

We wash heaps of bike kit at the Pure Mountains farmhouse and decided to give eco wash balls a whirl instead of using washing detergent. The big question is, do they work?

Spring sees the start of the mountain bike and road bike race season here in Andalucía. Our first race was a road event: the 15 km hill climb from the coastal village of La Mamola to Haza de Lino which perches on the watershed of the Contraviesa mountain range, at 1283 metres.

Like the rest of Europe, southern Spain has been experiencing some crazy weather this winter with torrential rain and high winds.
