After the longest, wettest winter in living memory, Spring has arrived in Andalucía in a burst of sunshine and wild flowers. Bliss!

As for the rest of western Europe, last winter was a challenging one, with southern Spain being battered by repeated rain storms. Whilst the extra water was much appreciated after years of drought, it came down too thick and fast, causing all sorts of damage. It wasn't much fun to be biking in, either,

Well, that has abruptly changed with the arrival of a simply spectacular Spring. The sun is shining, the hills are blindingly green and all sorts of varmints, including mountain bikers, are frolicking with gay abandon. Woof!
