Team Pure Mountains have been off racing their mountain bikes recently.
First up was a 30km XC race in our little local town, Cádiar. It was great fun to race on trails that we knew inside out. Jenny won the women's race and an enormous, quirky trophy, made by the local blacksmith.
All change the following weekend when Team Pure Mountains and friends headed off to the Spanish Open Enduro at Ojén near Marbella. The timed sections were steep, loose and scary. We all survived, but didn't need our podium shoes. The race photographer got some great pics.
Finally, an eight hour non-stop team endurance event at Sierra Nevada ski station. Jenny and Tim raced in the mixed pairs category. They managed 15 laps of a hilly, interesting course to take the win. See some photos here.
