To summarise: we can’t run trips for the next few weeks. We’re very sorry for the disappointment. Please, stay safe and stay in touch!
And for those who would like to know more…
The Situation in Spain
Since 15 March 2020, Spain has been under a State of Alarm and has implemented a nationwide lockdown. This imposes stringent movement restrictions and the closure of non-essential businesses. We are all being told to stay at home “¡quédate en casa!”.
The best place for news on this, in English, is El País in English.
The EU / Schengen External Border Closure
As an EU member state and Schengen area member, Spain is also part of the EU-wide decision temporarily to stop the entry into the EU (plus Schengen area member countries) of non-EU citizens, except in certain extenuating circumstances. The UK is, for this purpose, treated as an EU member, so the restrictions do not apply to journeys from the UK to other EU member states.

Travel Advice From Your Government
Many countries are advising against non-essential travel to Spain for the duration of the State of Alarm. Some countries are advising against all foreign travel.
The Effect on Pure Mountains and Our Guests
Unfortunately, cycling, other than on vital errands, is banned under the Spanish movement restrictions, so we can’t run our trips until the restrictions are lifted, which we hope will be soon!
Also, many of our guests are not happy to travel to Spain against their governments’ advice and/or they may have their flights cancelled.
It's disappointing for our customers, who were looking forward to their spring trips to Pure Mountains. It’s a challenging time for us, too. We have been in touch with all guests who have booked with us up to July 2020 and we are ensuring that nobody loses out.
We will get through this together. The mountains and the trails will still be there, after this crisis has passed. In the meantime, do get in touch. It would be lovely to hear from you, as it's even quieter than usual, up here on the mountain! Email us via the contact form, give us a call (it’s back in fashion) on +34 686 032 003 or drop by on Facebook or Instagram.
Look after yourselves, stay safe and stay sane. Remember that this, too, shall pass. ¡Fuerza, ánimo, esperanza!
